When Brett and Jenny Horn lost their son Charlie to an accident in their home, they focused on turning their grief into something positive for the community. Determined to help educate parents and caregivers on how to prevent avoidable in-home injuries, Brett and Jenny set out to establish Charlie's House. The mission of Charlie’s House is to prevent injuries to children in and around the home.

Charlie’s House is working to open a safety demonstration house in Greater Kansas City where caregivers can learn and practice safety-proofing their own homes. KC CAN! is committed to helping make Charlie’s House a reality.
