In 2011, the Center School District opened their Day Care Center. The center provides quality childcare for children of high school students. This benefits the young children by providing a safe early education environment, while giving their teenage parents the opportunity to stay in school and complete their high school education. The project took seven months to complete and cost $47,000. KC CAN! partnered with the Center School District to fund almost half the cost of the project. The facility will accommodate 24 children ranging from six weeks old to three years of age.
